My Little Men

I may have been a little distracted lately. This is because I have been partaking in my only real (current) hobby of painting miniatures, or my Little Men as I call them.

Anyway, I have just completed a pair of Little Men and whilst they are not of professional quality, they ain’t bad. At least I’m happy with them.

So, here are a few samples so that you can see what I’ve been up to recently…

Do your little men have little...

um...never mind.

Yes, I agree with MJ. Don't skip on the finer details...

Nice work! :)

I used to paint Games Workshop models in the dim and distant past and spent many enjoyable hours engrossed in getting them just right. Those days, along with my steady hands, are gone now - but I did enjoy picking up the hobby briefly when my son followed in his father's footsteps!

Helga: They are *not* Vikings. They are Elf Lords. Tut.

Ponita: They are, as Scary Duck would say (if he were here) Most Excellent!

MJ: These ones are plastic. Many of the others that I have made are made from lead. Stiff yet soft and a little flexible.

Scarls: How could I? With so many women interested? It would be sacrilege.

Ro: My son is showing an interest too. I shall bring him into the fold...

That's pretty cool! The only thing I've painted recently was the outside of a house and some doors.

You paid careful attention to the details. Clearly, a lot of Wii time was sacrificed for this endeavor.

Thank you gentlemen. I guess that it starts to make up for the 1001 thing that I'm totally crap at.

It beats a lot of other things you could be doing.

I like these guys. I used to do a lot of airfix model kits and paint the assembled product was always my favourite. Unfortunately that's one of the many little pleasures that have fallen by the wayside.

I just love those tiny little men but I have a thing for the real historical figures. I recently got Cardinal Richelieu as a gift that I paired with Louis XIV and I'm longing to get my hands on Marie Antoinette.

They're really good! The chainmail is terrible to paint but you really pulled it off.

I used to paint Warhammer 40k Eldar as they were weren't too many nooks and crannies. Haha.
